I haven't seen any E15 yet, though there seems to be plenty of E85.

rjhenn,
I jumbled my phrasing up a bit (By "Regular" I was referring to E0 blend not "Regular/Low" Octane) ... I appreciate the Iowa E0/E10 situation update. (Any E15 showing up at regular and/or blender pumps yet? A friend seems under the impression that E15 is available all over the place. Blender Pumps?)

there used to be one station that kept midgrade at E0. They were forced to changed that about 2 years ago.
There's been a push in the Florida legislature now to change the force EtOH blending. Haven't had time to keep up with it so I don't know if it died in committee.

JediKnight - "Locally in WI counties that aren't required to use E10 you might find some stations offering "Regular" (E0) as an option in Mid and High Octane blends. (Typically High Octane only)"
That's just the opposite of what we've got in Iowa, at least all of Iowa that I've seen so far. Here the pattern is for regular to be E0 (though I'm pretty sure there's a little ethanol in there for pollution control), while Midgrade and Premium are E10. Due to state subsidies, Midgrade is the cheapest, and what gets posted on most signs, with Regular being the next highest in price and Premium being the most expensive.

Edpap,
Some of us are REQUIRED to use it per Clean Air Act/EPA requirements.
So via Article VI, Clause 2 (Supremacy Clause) of the US Constitution at least some of what you're suggesting would be illegal.
IF your State/Region didn't require it's use to meet the Clean Air Act... well I guess then you could bar/limit it's use.
Locally in WI counties that aren't required to use E10 you might find some stations offering "Regular" (E0) as an option in Mid and High Octane blends. (Typically High Octane only)
Until a few years ago it was still common to see E0 in all fuel grades outside the EPA's RFG Zone in SE WI. (With maybe some stations offering Mid-Octane "Plus" E10... typically at the same prices as Regular Octane (E0).)

EtOH has never been the answer and it will not be the answer. All it does is drive food prices through the roof.

Each state needs to get ethanol on the ballot this November. Let the states that don't want it, outlaw it. The feds have no business regulating it for use, if the price is right and people want it , they'll buy it. At least now the subsidies are eliminated. People should not be forced to buy it.

rrtr,
I feel your pain. Course I also learned what water/"bad fuel" (in my case leaving fuel sit in a Snowmobile's Fuel System for almost a year+).
This Snowmobile was performing poorly for YEARS... Because we hadn't done ANYTHING to the Carburetor/Fuel System in like "forever"... except occasionally change the Fuel/Oil Filters and the occasional dose of STA-BIL... but if the Carb has all kinds of junk in it and the Fuel (E10 or E0) is "suspect"... we're fighting the wrong battle.
Locally we've had E10 for years... but a little TLC about two weeks ago and this Snowmobile is back in fighting form.
So next time you might try draining the Fuel in the off-season, stick with fresh stuff and maybe try using some Marine STA-BIL on the "finicky" equipment that can't seem to handle your Local Fuel Supply. Might keep things in check.

Kill ALL subsidies for corn problem solved ethanol is bad for most motors believe me I own 6 small motors (they must be drained after every use) and sold a boat that high pressure fuel injection (water in fuel destroys injectors) because ethanol mixes with water and water traps in fuel filters can not separate it..

Ethanol is just one more green agenda that the Federal government is cramming down the throats of it's "subjects". This is nothing more than a Jobs project and political payoff for the Farm Lobby. Get rid of ethanol NOW.

Let those that want to use it but give us back straight gas options at the pumps. Legislated use is not in our best interestbut that of a select group only.

Ethanol and farm groups praised E15 But the Environmental Working Group announced a campaign to discourage consumers from using it. How can we Not use it if the government says we have to and it is in the gasoline? With all the ‘newly’ discovered oil and natural gas why produce ethanol? No ethanol and No fuel from food! Whatever the size or shape of the vehicle, Produce and ‘Drive’ vehicles with high MPG, are very reliable, have a ‘reasonable’ cost and a good ‘value’ for the money. Consider using ‘other’ forms of transportation to help lower your cost. The price of fuel at the pump is too high! 12/22/2012!

I TRULY APPLAUD THE AMERICAN GOVERNMENT'S DESIRE TO BECOME ENERGY INDEPENDENT, BUT FOR GOSH SAKES, AREN'T WE HAVING ENOUGH PROBLEMS FROM THE E-10 ADDED TO GASOLINE NOW?? IT SEEMS THAT "DETROIT" REFUSES TO TRY TO ADAPT NOW AND FUTURE CARS TO THE E-10, MUCH LESS THE E-15 FORMULA, SO MAYBE WE SHOULD BE ALLOWED TO IMPORT THOSE BRAZILIAN CARS THAT ALREADY HAVE BEEN ADAPTED TO THIS AND/OR EVEN SOME THAT ONLY USE ETHANOL AS ITS SOLE FUEL - DO YOU HEAR ME FORD, GM AND CHRYSLER??

Bad decision, ethanol is worthless in any gas tank. It does nothing but reduce mileage and tear up engines and carburators

I believe the newer vehicles have motors that are made to handle the E15 and above. Unfortunately, I think we will all end up having to adjust to it.

I don't consider E15 as gasoline. EToH has its place as a fuel but should not be forced upon those that don't know the difference. And, end the stupid subsidies - let the free market decide.

The loss in mileage doesn't come close to compensating for the slightly lower price.
